Corto Moltedo opened his first self-named boutique in Paris in 2009. Coming from a strong bloodline of luxury accessory design being the son of Laura and Vittorio Moltedo, of the infamous brand Bottega Veneta, he developed his talent by apprenticing to the family label crafting handmade bags in Florence, Italy. His designs are heavily influenced by his passion for music, which was cultivated during his time growing up in New York where his unique creations reference the pulse of the city and sounds of contemporary underground movements designing coveted bags that are a street-chic mix of hip-hop with a cool rock attitude. Other influences include classic women such as Priscilla Presley of which his iconic everyday bag the Priscilla was named expressing the cosmopolitan, fashion savvy feminine. Always innovative, Moltedo's designs are artistic synergies of the ever changing world and tradition keeping to his core eclectic, cutting-edge style of women's handmade bags.
